At ScalpEase, we believe relaxation is not a luxury — it is an essential act of self-care. Our space was created for those moments when life feels heavy, your mind will not switch off, and your body is carrying the tension of everyday life.
Based in Atherstone, ScalpEase offers authentic Indian Head Massage, professional Body Massage and relaxing wellbeing treatments. From focused head, neck and shoulder treatments to relaxing full-body massage, every session is designed to help you slow down, release tension and enjoy dedicated time for yourself.
Our roots remain closely connected to traditional Indian Head Massage, while ScalpEase has grown into a wider massage and wellbeing space offering treatments for relaxation from head to toe.
ScalpEase was born from a simple belief: sometimes the most powerful care is also the simplest. In Indian families, head massage has always been more than a treatment. It is a quiet act of care, comfort, and connection.
For generations, Indian Head Massage has been used to help people unwind after long days, calm busy minds, and bring balance back to the body. It was never viewed as a luxury, but as an everyday act of wellbeing.
Today, ScalpEase continues that tradition by creating a peaceful environment where people can slow down, release tension, and enjoy a moment of calm in an increasingly busy world.
As ScalpEase has grown, so has our vision. What began with a specialist focus on Indian Head Massage has developed into a broader massage and wellbeing experience. Today, clients can also enjoy professional Body Massage, foot and lower leg massage, hand massage and other relaxation-focused treatments.
“Sometimes healing doesn’t begin with medicine or words… sometimes it begins with a quiet moment where someone finally feels cared for.”
I’m Ganeege, founder of ScalpEase. My journey into wellness did not begin in a spa or clinic — it began through family, care, and human connection.
Growing up, Indian Head Massage was part of life around me. In my family, massage was never seen as a luxury. It was a simple and meaningful way of helping someone relax after a difficult day, comforting them when they were stressed, or quietly showing love without needing words.
My professional life first took a very different direction. I studied Computer Hardware in Italy and later completed a BSc (Hons) in Software Engineering from De Montfort University.
After working across technology, education and healthcare, I witnessed how stress, pressure and modern lifestyles affect people physically and mentally.
Those experiences inspired me to reconnect with traditional Indian wellness practices and formally train in Indian Head Massage. As my interest in massage and wellbeing grew, I continued developing my professional skills and expanded into Body Massage.
Today, ScalpEase exists to provide people with something many have forgotten they need: time to pause, breathe, release tension and simply feel cared for.
Ganeege holds a Practitioner’s Diploma in Indian Head Massage from Gateway Workshops and has also completed an ITEC Level 3 qualification in Body Massage, allowing ScalpEase to offer both specialist head massage and professional body massage treatments.
Behind every calm experience at ScalpEase is a small team working with care, planning and dedication.
Param is an important part of the team behind ScalpEase. She holds a Master’s in Advanced Computer Science in the UK and a Master’s in Technology from India.
Alongside her volunteer work at ScalpEase, she continues to work in teaching and brings several years of teaching and professional experience.
She is the mind behind much of the technology and digital side of ScalpEase, helping manage the website, systems, administration, creative ideas, and behind-the-scenes organisation that support the smooth running of the business.
Together, we share a passion for creating a calm, welcoming space where people can step away from busy modern life and focus on their wellbeing.
Indian Head Massage, traditionally known as Champi, has been practised in India for generations. It has long been part of family life, used to encourage relaxation, support scalp health, ease tiredness and create a sense of emotional comfort.
The word “shampoo” is often linked to the Hindi word “champo”, meaning to press, knead or massage. This reflects how deeply massage and scalp care have been connected with Indian wellbeing traditions.
Traditionally, Champi was passed from one generation to another. Parents, grandparents and family members used it as a natural way to help loved ones relax, especially after long days, emotional stress or physical tiredness.
The treatment focuses on the scalp, neck, shoulders and upper back — areas where modern life often stores stress and tension. At ScalpEase, we honour this tradition while offering it in a calm, professional and welcoming setting.
A treatment at ScalpEase is about more than simply taking time out. It is an opportunity to slow down, release everyday tension and give your mind and body space to relax.
Choose from Indian Head Massage, Body Massage, hand massage, foot and lower leg massage and combination treatments. Whether you prefer a short focused treatment or a longer head-to-toe experience, your session is tailored to your comfort and preferred pressure.
